In 2022, after 35 successful years in architecture and construction,
I returned to my artistic roots and dedicated myself fully to sculpture.

My work is shaped by the concept of erosion – an exploration of how
natural forces transform the world around us. It reflects nature’s relentless presence: sun, wind, rain, sea, and the quiet power of time.

I often work in isolation in my studio on Great Barrier Island, New Zealand. Surrounded by raw natural beauty, I find the clarity and inspiration needed
to create. I am also in the process of building a new studio in Auckland.

I aim to create visually striking works, avoiding unnecessary detail in favour of bold, expressive forms that invite viewers to feel rather than analyse.

For me, anything that brings happiness is useful – my sculptures are
created to engage the senses and enrich the soul.
